This applies to Chrysler Pacifica and Voyagers equipped with DVD headrests from the OE manufacturer. Vehicles may
experience a loss of power to the headrest DVD monitor. The monitor will not power on even though seat functions
(fore/aft, recline, etc.) continue to operate normally. Technicians may find that failure involves the
wall extension harness located behind the A-B trim panel and their respective sides, depending on which monitor
has failed. When performing seat swaps from a well-known vehicle, both the suspect seat AND the suspect vehicle
may each present symptoms, leading to potential misdiagnosis unless the wall-side harness is inspected. Power for the
headrest video display originates from connector EL3120 on the wall extension harness. Missing power
or an open circuit on pin 22 (identified as a power feed for headrest screens) can prevent the DVD unit from operating.
In some cases, both the extension harness and the monitor fail simultaneously, causing compound
symptoms.
