Toyota OEM-Style Troubleshooting Manual 

Issue: System Not Stowing 

Initial Checks: 

  1. 1. Verify the LED panel – ensure the BTSI/Power light is ON. 

  1. 2. Check the status of all LEDs when a button is pressed. 

  1. 3. Confirm that the issue exists on all buttons and the remote. 

  1. 4. Verify the remote blue light turns on when pressing either STOW or DEPLOY. 

Diagnostic Questions: 

  1. 1. Is the door switch adjusted properly? 

  1. 2. Are the fuses in the main VM fuse box good? 

  1. 3. Is the Ramp ON/OFF switch plugged in? 

  1. 4. Does the CLOSE command light up when pressing a button? 

  1. 5. Are the limit switches installed correctly? 

Reference Notes & Locations: 

  • 1. Toyota/Honda: Located under the rear bench (passenger side on RU), fuse box is in the rear driver corner under the plastic cover. 

  • 2. Ramp ON/OFF relay: Located at rear driver quarter panel near the C-pillar. This will have power when the door opens; ground is constant. 

  • 3. Check both remote batteries.
