T25-023 - Toyota VMI-Q Troubleshooting Manual Issue: Ramp Not Stowing

Initial Checks: 

  1. 1. Confirm the LED panel is ON – ensure the BTSI/Power light is active. 

  1. 2. Check the Ramp IN/OUT fuse. 

  1. 3. Does the CLOSE command light activate when pressing a button? 

Diagnostic Questions: 

  1. 1. Is the door switch adjusted properly? 

  1. 2. Are the fuses on the main VM fuse box good? 

  1. 3. Is the Ramp ON/OFF switch plugged in? 

  1. 4. Check the Ramp ON/OFF relay. 

  1. 5. What is the status of the Ramp on the LED panel? 

  1. 6. Are the limit switches installed correctly? 

Reference Notes & Locations: 

  • 1. Toyota/Honda: Located under the rear bench (passenger side on RU). Fuse box is in the rear driver corner under the plastic cover. 

  • 2. Ramp ON/OFF relay: Located at rear driver quarter panel near the C-pillar. Power is present when the door opens; ground is constant.
