VMI Fuse & Relay Panel Instruction Manual

This guide provides fuse and relay layout and connection instructions for VMI harness configurations. Proper use of relays and adherence to wiring specifications is critical to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Important Safety Notice

This harness requires relays with internal suppression resistors. Do not use relays without internal resistors as doing so may cause damage to diodes, LEDs, and resistors.

Relay Orientation

Correct Orientation:

- Terminal 30 -> 87A

- Terminal 85 -> 86

Incorrect Orientation:

- Terminal 30 -> 87

- Terminal 85 -> 86

Relay Identification

Relay B - BTSI (Brake Transmission Shift Interlock)

Relay C - Power Supply

Relay D - Ramp Out

Relay E - Ramp In

Relay G - Kneel Up

Relay H - Kneel Down

Relay J - Auto Up

Fuse Assignments

Fuse #1: Blank

Fuse #2: Blank

Fuse #3: 5A - BTSI Relay (B) - Contact 86; Power Relay (C) - Contact 86; Auto Up Relay (J) - Contacts 86 & 87; Remote AUX Switch (+)

Fuse #4: 20A - Kneel Up Relay (G) - Contact 87

Fuse #5: 3A - (+) LEDs 1-2, 4-7; Ramp Out Relay (D) - Contact 86; Ramp In Relay (E) - Contact 86; Kneel Down Relay (H) - Contact 86

Fuse #6: 20A - Kneel Down Relay (H) - Contact 87

Fuse #7: 20A - Ramp In Relay (E) - Contact 87

Fuse #8: 20A - Ramp Out Relay (D) - Contact 87

- Fuse colors illustrated do not represent actual fuse colors.
