New Northstar Operation

1. HA1013 is a set of relays that hold the ground for the stow or deploy functions of the system.

2. Using a timer relay, it tells the system how long to hold the ground for stow or deploy.

3. The ground on the relay is connected to the chassis.

4. Main battery power to pin #30 on the stow time relay will engage only when the slider door is open. It

comes from the main aftermarket harness fuse box.

5. Trigger power comes from the movement of the trolley. As long as the trolley is moving, the relay has

power. Once the trolley stops, the relay begins its timer cycle.

6. Black wire to the trolley motor provides power during the deploy cycle; the time is set to approximately 50

seconds.

7. Green wire from the trolley motor provides power during the stow cycle; the time is set to the lowest

possible, approximately 6 seconds.

8. The timer relays turn on a secondary (helper) relay to create the ground signal for the system's

stow/deploy functions.

9. Stow/deploy wires are tied to the remote wires, holding the command for the designated period of time.

10. There are 2 switches and 1 set of remotes, all with the same function. When ground is applied, the

system either stows or deploys, depending on the direction the switch is pressed.

11. During deployment, you can change direction to stow with a simple press of the switch.

12. During stowing, the system will not change direction to deploy - you must wait for the cycle to complete.

13. A ramp on/off and a powerkneel on/off switch are located on the dash.

14. If the ramp switch is off, the powerkneel will start briefly and then return to its home position.
